Hmm, you'll have to use isapnp for it. I know there is a awe howto out there also. Another thing is to check the kernel docs. There is some awe stuff in there. Good luck. From my soundcard experiences, using oss in the kernel is much easier. I hear alsa is better, but if you don't need its "betterness" ... go the easy way till alsa is mroe integrated and improved.
