I forgot to mention: /etc#/etc/init.d/postgresql start /usr/lib/postgresql/bin/postgresql-startup: line 64: unexpected EOF while looking for matching ``' I will purge postgresql and then reinstall it. That is what I have done in the past to fix the problem. thanks -- Andrew
