I dislike having xdm start when I start the machine, so I removed the xdm stuff from init. Then, much to my surprise, kdm started when I started the machine, so I removed that from init. All is well now, and I get a plain, simple console, just the way I like it. I will put .xinitrc back, just to be safe. thanks -- Andrew [PGP5.0 Key ID 0x5EE61C37]
