Maybe you could try Marillat's Debianized source packages, available at: http://perso.wanadoo.fr/debian/dists/unstable/main/source/ I forgot the "apt-get source" line. But you can manually download the files: mplayer_0.90rc2-0.1.diff.gz mplayer_0.90rc2-0.1.dsc and mplayer_0.90rc2.orig.tar.gz Create the build directory using the command "dpkg-source -x mplayer_0.90rc2-0.1.dsc".
