It won't work because cdrecord has to know the size of the ISO image before it can write it. If you can't do CD-CD copying successfully in the way I described earlier, you can do something like: dd if=/dev/scd0 of=cdimage.iso bs=64k To copy the image to the hard drive first. Then burn it: cdrecord dev=5,0 speed=4 -v -dummy cdimage.iso Jeff
