Sorry about the previous post. This version is a little cleaner. I want to allow all users of machines I have listed in /etc/hosts.equiv access to my printers. The absence of :rs: in /etc/printcap is supposed to allow that. Why isn't it working? Anyone on any other machine who user an account I have defined on my machine (like root, or don) can print just fine. If their user id is not in my /etc/passwd I get: lpd[]: can't find user - can't fork Any ideas? -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v0.9.5 (GNU/Linux) Comment: For info see http://www.gnupg.org iD8DBQE3DmIt8YQyCq/nyZsRAierAJ4q0i9hSVnM68jpLt4EqCP5lAa7WwCbBaFG r+2M2xLrWz8zKAiwS95LTzo= =7FW7 -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
