After moving to potato, StarOffice ceases to run. starting soffice gives
me the splash screen, folled by the following message:
"An unrecoverable error has occured. All modified files have been saved
and can probably be recovered at program restart."

That looks too much like an error message from a certain other OS for
me.

Installing StarOffice (running ~/so501/so501_inst/setup) yields:

ERROR: setup system check failed:
    ld-2.0.7.so library not found
(and so forth through: libBrokenLocale-2.0.7.so, libc-2.0.7.so,
libcrypt-2.0.7, libdb-2.0.7.so, libdl-2.0.7.so, libm, libnsl,
libnss_compat, libnss-db, libnss_dns, libnss_files, libnss_nis,
libpthread, libresolv, libutil)

and then procedes to tell me that libc6 isn't on my system, and please
install the libc6 that they gave me.

Under slink things were flawless, but under potato they are, um,
"unstable."

these libraries all exist on my system as 2.1.1 versions. is it safe to
symlink these libraries to their 2.0.7 versions? could i just copy the
2.0.7 from my slink systems? or am i asking for even more trouble? or is
it StarDiv's problem?
