Sort of a problem that KDE squeezed themselves into of needing all manner of class libraries for C++ when the rest of the system is largely procedurally oriented libraries such as from C. Microsoft and IBM (for OS/2) may have coded GUIs with C++, but my *understanding* is that object oriented languages are not the usual method for developing such things on Linux. -- Mark L.
