I'm able to record from line input, but I don't get
anything when I try to record from microphone. I
vaguely recall reading long ago about a security
feature that prevents a hacker somewhere from turning
on my microphone remotely. I'm wondering if I need to
disable some feature like that somehow. (I've got the
microphone level in xmixer set quite high, so that's not
the problem. Also, I've verified that the mic is OK).
Any advice?
