2 modems in one computer?

Ok, I've recently got my hands on one more modem, and I have this
question:
On the box of my original modem, SupraExpress 33.6, there was somehting
about if I had 2 modems, I could set them up so that they work
simultaneously, thus increasing the speed.
Anyone done that in Windows, and did it work, or is it possible to do so
in Linux? If yes, where can I find info on that?
