Hi, I installed sybase rpm packages in my Debian box, using alien to generate the .deb packages. I had to do some minor modifications in the init script but it works fine. The only problem I having is with sybperl. I couldn't get it to compile because of tcl.{a,so} libs that are packaged with sybase. But the .c examples (sample directories) all worked fine. Sybase is a hog memory, though. BTW, a look at mysql can give you a very good sql database, that seems better supported in Linux world, IMHO.
