To get all the gtk 1.1 stuff to work, I decided it would be much easier to build the gtk and glib stuff locally as well. So I did, and installed them in /usr/local/. x11amp built with no troubles, and runs just fine. Just remember that after you've installed glib and gtk, run ldconfig. I didn't think to do that at first since most libs that I install go through dselect, and the postinst scripts run ldconfig for me. You'll also need to set GLIB_CONFIG and GTK_CONFIG to /usr/local/bin/glib-config and /usr/local/bin/gtk-config, respectively (there might be typeos there...x11amp's configure script will give you the correct info, in any case). noah PGP public key available at http://lynx.dac.neu.edu/home/httpd/n/nmeyerha/mail.html or by 'finger -l [EMAIL PROTECTED]' This message was composed in a 100% Microsoft free environment. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: 2.6.2 iQCUAwUBNsHJvodCcpBjGWoFAQF7sgP45RnBDwUNbuUF1mVTTgtAqS5q6UavGzMw 8IbWI7u4u6dI2G0o/0fCCWRrFKuAWLifSZQtIUnHXjEpRUAxHB4wV0VdWAvXs15V ppRncXe4fE1JCAxIivq0o7bjEvXQHpNjbEC3L+fTI7PIo5SGWWiwoyfRoBBLB/vq 215JE/jKcA== =KW3A -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
