you can hit 'F1' to get more info when the boot prompt appears. I think that it's F1, maybe Alt-F1, in any case, the boot prompt screen tells you which.
Where you get the kernel image from depends on how you are installing, so you really need to tell us more about what you are doing. Usually the kernel image is on the rescue disk, but usually you don't need to include parameters at the boot prompt. One note on SCSI controllers: Adaptec controllers such as the 2940s may require that you use a specially compiled rescue disk that you can find at http://www.debian.org/~adric/aic7xxx Good luck, Richard Hall On Mon, 8 Feb 1999, marc wrote: > where can i get more information regarding the entry of boot parameters > at the boot prompt > and where do i get the kernel image from > > > -- > Unsubscribe? mail -s unsubscribe [EMAIL PROTECTED] < /dev/null > > Richard Hall Network Services University of Tennessee
