Thanks for the hint. Unfortunately using the [EMAIL PROTECTED] settings results in exactly the same thing, namely wavey lines initially on startup (after 2-10 seconds it blanks the screen and then it comes up OK) when using the 1024x768 res. Thanks in advance for any further hints.
