I believe you could do worse than use WINE/dosemu for those apps which aren't covered by corresponding linux apps. WINE is coming along in leaps and bounds, and since I doubt any of the apps you mentioned make any tricky low-level calls to hardware dosemu should be able to cope any DOS apps...
