Well, here's the situation. I'm trying to port a package to Linux which, unfortunately, depends a great deal on generic.h and stuff that only comes in the libg++ package. But, I'm also using the egcs compiler, which doesn't include libg++. From the egcs home page I've found some information on patching libstdc++ so that it includes libg++. But, in order to do that I need to re-make libstdc++ and use version 2.8.1.1 of it. Now, what I would like to know is if anyone has done this before, and if so, how. Also, where can I find the source for libstdc++ 2.8.1.1? I suppose it's too much to hope for that there be a .deb for all this, right? Thanks
