You probably have all the right stuff installed: * A Kernel (bit obvious this one) with ps/2 support though !! This is default in the Hamm distribution unless you roll your own kernel, then just make sure that you select it.
* X (xbase package) needs to be configured by running xf86config and selecting ps/2 for mouse type. I have installed a few different types of ps/2 mice on Laptops and Desktops and have never found one that didnt work if the above two steps were done (theres always a first time though). John.
