Sorry, I have no idea any more. I can't guess your environment.
Umm... For example, if you use hibernation and the hibernation
partition is used as linux partition too, linux partition's contents
is broken by the hibernation memory image... etc..
Anyway, please show your envirinment. Using APM? Hibernation
capability? and so on.
