George... What if he is like me (you're going to love this)?
I work at an ISP but try not to use the connection since I want my personal
netlife seperate from my professional netlife. However, I use it as a
backup.
I pay for a dedicated connection with another ISP for the above reason.
At one time I also had a different ISP because I was outside my job's local
calling area.
All legit reasons for having multiple ISPs and the need for varying the
smarthost entry. ;)
