I just found out that ADSL service may be available in my area. Does anyone have ADSL internet service and how hard was it to get Linux to use it?
I live in south florida and Bellsouth is now offering ADSL for $50-60 a month unlimited ($100 one time installation fee and $200 to buy the modem - nic). After paying for the equipment, it looks like $30 more a month then my not-quite unlimited dialup service with AT&T. They say you need a computer with at least 100mhz Pentium, 50mb free on hd, 16mb ram, running windows 95/98 or NT. (Or a Mac) No mention of linux thou I know that does not mean it ain't possible. _________________________________________________________ DO YOU YAHOO!?
