Greetings, I don't know why slahes.pl isn't working for you.
I downloaded this program from freshmeat and it ran on my hamm bone (box). It mostly worked, opening a window and retrieving the Slashdot headers. It would would crash when I clicked the button that was supposed to open netscape and show the selected article.
