This is a repost. For some reason I'm unable to rip audio data from CDs. It was working a week or so ago, but now I get the errors below (regardless of what program I'm using).
I've got two drives, both ide-scsi. I can play audio cds without any problems, and I can also mount data disks witout any problems. The only thing that seemed odd (other than it just not working!) was to mount the second drive I specified /dev/sr2. Perhaps that's normal. It's not a permissions problem (happens as root, too). What list would you recommend that I post to for help with this problem. $ cdrecord -scanbus Cdrecord 1.11a34 (i686-pc-linux-gnu) Copyright (C) 1995-2002 Jrg Schilling Linux sg driver version: 3.1.22 Using libscg version 'schily-0.6' scsibus0: 0,0,0 0) 'PIONEER ' 'DVD-ROM DVD-116 ' '1.22' Removable CD-ROM 0,1,0 1) 'SONY ' 'CD-RW CRX1611 ' 'TYS7' Removable CD-ROM 0,2,0 2) * 0,3,0 3) * 0,4,0 4) * 0,5,0 5) * 0,6,0 6) * 0,7,0 7) * And cdparanoia -B results in: outputting to track01.cdda.wav scsi_read error: sector=0 length=7 retry=0 Sense key: b ASC: 48 ASCQ: 0 Transport error: Unspecified error System error: Input/output error scsi_read error: sector=0 length=3 retry=1 Sense key: b ASC: 48 ASCQ: 0 Transport error: Unspecified error System error: Input/output error (== PROGRESS == [> | ...... 00 ] == :-0 . ==) scsi_read error: sector=7 length=13 retry=0 Sense key: b ASC: 48 ASCQ: 0 Transport error: Unspecified error System error: Input/output error -- Bill Moseley [EMAIL PROTECTED] -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
