Hi, I haven't followed this thread, but yesterday I got a similar problem, I think.
I ran mc in an xterm, and pressed <f4> to start editing a file, this started emacs in a new window. While emacs started, I pressed <alt>-<f10> to get it to the full window size, but nothing happened. After that the <alt> key wasn't working anymore. BTW, I use fvwm2, and s3 x-server. Any ideas whats going wrong?
