How long did you wait? Anything in dmesg? When I start my server it has not swap usage for up to a few hours just because it doesn't need to and it only has 96MB ram. Then the next day or so it has more adamm@polaris:~$ cat /proc/swaps Filename Type Size Used Priority /dev/scsi/host0/bus0/target0/lun0/part2 partition 345388 13596 10 /dev/ide/host2/bus0/target0/lun0/part4 partition 144576 13516 10 /dev/ide/host2/bus1/target0/lun0/part3 partition 160640 13584 10 I don't think there is anything wrong with linux.
