I've up gateways from some mailing lists I'm on (including this one) to local newsgroups. This wasn't too hard to do, but now that they're there trn refuses to read them. It only reads news via NNTP. I gather that this is a compile-time option, but I don't think it would do me any good to compile a local-only version, since it would just ignore NNTP. I could have both versions and use two .newsrc's, but that would be a pain in the ass.
