In the file /etc/X11/XF86Config find the bit that looks a bit like this: Section "Screen" Driver "accel" Device "s" Monitor "l" Subsection "Display" Depth 8 Modes "1280x1024" "1024x768" "800x600" "640x480" ViewPort 0 0 EndSubsection Subsection "Display" Depth 16 Modes "1280x1024" "1024x768" "800x600" "640x480" ViewPort 0 0 EndSubsection Subsection "Display" Depth 24 Modes "1280x1024" "1152x864" "1024x768" "800x600" "640x480" ViewPort 0 0 EndSubsection Subsection "Display" Depth 32 Modes "640x480" "800x600" "1024x768" ViewPort 0 0 EndSubsection EndSection
It's the lines labeled "Modes", you just have to re-arrange them to start in the resolution you want, if you just want to change resolution. If you want to change the actual size of the virtual desktop add a line like Virtual 800 600 just after the "ViewPort" lines. Cya John.
