According to man fetchmail, it delivers it by SMTP to port 25, whence

Ah. This is one of those areas I haven't quite got down: How do I tell who's listening to port 25? Do you have any suggestions as to what to read to understand this. I am an experienced programmer and some mechanisms I understand better than others.

I set up fetchmail by using fetchmailconf, and as with eximconfig it
just worked and I can't remember any awkwardnesses. That's the problem
with these easy config tools - when it all works you don't learn
anything.

I agree.

Thanks,

Paul
