I can't seem to get taper to do backups under cron. I have created a file set and saved it under tapers interactive interface and my cron line for the root account is:
1 0 * * 0,1,3,5 /sbin/taper -U @full When it runs it starts but soon fails. Taper emails the root account a list of all the files/directories marked for inclusion and then fails with: Backup commenced at Sun Oct 4 00:01:36 1998 Unable to start backup child Backup ABORTED Backup finished at Sun Oct 4 00:15:51 1998 Then the cron daemon emails root with Unable to start backup child sh: /var/tmp/taper15707aaa: No such file or directory I can run '/sbin/taper -U @full' from the root command line and it works just fine. What is happening such that it is failing from cron?
