my disks have the following ids:

disk on 2940UW - id 0
disk on 2940AU - id 0
               - id 1
               - id 2
               - id 3

but the problem is that id 0 on the 2940AU gets called sda even if it's not
the id 0 disk .. just because it's the first disk on the first SCSI chain
