I had a similar problem with my NE2000 PCI network card. When I recompile the 2.0.34 kernel I could choose PCI NE2000 Card (and I did) but it did not work. Then I remembered I had been able to use my card with Deb1.3.1 and chose *ISA* NE2000 when compiling the kernel and now works fine. Hope it helps! Rafa
