Today seems to be my day for "Me too" comments :) the keyboard is a m$ natural (original one). At first it complained because there was no directory into which it wanted to write - now there is, and it still complains. I've been having all kinds of problems with X lately :( Heck, when I tried to compile 2.0.35 X just wouldn't start at all - gave the standard error 111 (socket error)
