Part of the problem might be that "clock" got changed to "hwclock"
in 2.0. Check the man page for any parameter changes.

If rdate doesn't work, you could try ntpdate.

Subject:        ip-up?

After upgrading to Debian 2.0 my ip-up doesn't seem to work anymore.

I think Debian 2.0 handles it differently.

My 1.3.1 ip-up file looks like this
----------------------------------------------
#!/bin/sh
PATH=/usr/local/sbin:/usr/sbin:/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/bin:/bin
export PATH
runq
/usr/sbin/rdate -s clock.psu.edu > /dev/null
/usr/sbin/clock -w > /dev/null

--------------------------------------------

I see there is now a directory named /etc/ip-up.d so I created a
script file there with the name 'horlosie' with the last two lines of
ip-up.

However. It does not seem to work. In the past my computer's clock
was updated every time I was connected to the internet.

How do I correct that?
