hello everyone, well here we are again. I have a new pentium II 300 with a ATI-Xpert-XL 4meg AGP2 with 3D and enhanced MPEG. Ok when I tried to run SuperProbe, SuperProbe did not recognize the card. The message that I got was:
Before submitting a report, please make sure that you have the latest version of SuperProbe (see http://www.xfree86.org/FAQ). WARNING - THIS SOFTWARE COULD HANG YOUR MACHINE. READ THE SuperProbe.1 MANUAL PAGE BEFORE RUNNING THIS PROGRAM. INTERRUPT WITHIN FIVE SECONDS TO ABORT! First video: Generic VGA (or unknown SVGA) Now what. I configured XF86Config. As best as i could. I was using the mach64 x-server. This is the output i got from startx. I took a look at the file XF86Config and did not see anything out of the ordinary. here is my XF86Config file, may someone on the list can make head or tails of what is probably the problem. It is probably stareing me right in the face. Thanks for anyone who can help me out. I will see if i can get the straight svga xserver to work in the meantime. Paul
