I had this recently. It would come up with the main window and SEG FAULT
as soon as I clicked on any menu button.

Running strace -f on it didn't show anything that I could see.

I quit and restarted X and it still failed.

I rebooted and then it was OK.

In 5.5 years, Netscape is the only program that has ever caused me to
reboot Linux (5 to 10 times total), but I still run it constantly
anyway.
