I felt a bit foolish when I read this so I checked to see what version I had:

I then looked in the directory, /usr/lib/texmf/latex/latex2html

I have no explanation for why this might have occured. As far as I could tell
the
upgraded from 1.3.1 to Debian 2.0 went smoothly though I must admit I did appear
to be a bit pushed for diskspace as the installation was going along, and had
to
hastily clear some rubbish off the disk while the upgrade was occuring...
Could this be a reason for my missing files ?
Debian does not appear to warn about disk space necessary when installing
packages anymore ( as it used to) at least as far as I could tell...
Am I wrong ?
