I have been using xemacs19 for a while, but I recently tried to run
viper without success. Viper appears to work properly, up until I
tried to exit insert mode. The escape key doesn't appear to exit
insert mode, but is instead interpreted as the start of a M-key
sequence. I then removed my .emacs file with the same result, and
also tried the sample .emacs file with still the same results. Has
anybody else successfully used viper under xemacs19, or is this a bug
I should be reporting?

I also briefly tried xemacs20, but when I tried to enter gnus, it came
back with an error message before it could get into gnus. Is anybody
else able to run xemacs20 with gnus in the default configuration, or
does the configuration need to be changed from xemacs19? I looked
through the documentation, but I didn't see any mention of changes
that needed to be made.

Neither of these are critical to me, but it seems odd that both of
these are major subsystems that appear to be unusable in the default
configuration.

I am running Hamm, and the xemacs19 was version 19.16-2, and the
xemacs20 was the nomule version of 20.4-5.
