I seem to get a strange error when I view some manpages with a non-prived
account.
I notice that /var/catman is nowrite for group and world, and I assume
that's the problem, but I'm assuming that I'm not actually supposed to
change the permissions to something else....
for example:
~> man ls
Reformatting ls(1), please wait...
man: can't create /var/catman/cat1/901: Permission denied
LS(1) LS(1)
[...]
~> su
Password:
# man ls
Reformatting ls(1), please wait...
LS(1) LS(1)
[...]
#exit
~> man ls
LS(1) LS(1)
[...]
Also... for some reason, I don't have an index either:
~> man -k list
list: nothing appropriate.
I'm wondering if it is related to the problems that I have with man_db
(it's _working_ but I don't know if it finished correctly)
