Well, you're stuck with XForms-based LyX for now. The LyX team are (and have been for _years_) working on the 'GUII' (GUI Independance) model, so that you can have a frontend written in your favourite widget toolkit, but still share the same backend code. Sounds like Qt fronted is coming along nicely, but the GTK one seems to have stalled a bit. If you want to help, head over to www.lyx.org and go to the developers section and dig in! -rob
