You are correct about the swap.  When I installed debian I decided keep
about 50mgs of disk space unused. I was not and am not sure what I will
use it for, but I have this feeling it will come in quite handy
someday.(when I know more)  Anyway instead of just wasting the space I
added it to swap.  Figured it couldn't hurt anything. Thanks for your help
