I looked at one of those too and as far as I could figure out it's a winprinter. It supposedly has the HP6L print hardware, but it doesn't support PCL or postscript. I think all the intelligence was moved to the windows driver. There is a web page about a group trying to get linux to support the OfficeJet series. I don't know if they're considering this product or not. I think the OfficeJet products come from a different division and are ink jet printers, while the 3100 is a laser printer. Since the products were developed by different groups, the driver might not be similar.
