Award bios v.4.51PG The TX chipset is the key. I remember this exact problem being reported on the kernel mailing list several months back. It's odd, because not all TX based motherboards caused this problem (mine, for example, was fine...go figure). So the best place to look for the solution (and I do know that there was one), would be the kernel list archive. Here's the URL: http://www.uwsg.indiana.edu/hypermail/linux/kernel/ I seem to recall the problems being discussed around the beginning of this year. Sometime from Dec. '97 to Feb. '98. There's a search engine at the archive page that should help you find info. If you're completely and totally unsuccessful at finding any useful info from the archive, you could try posting to the kernel list for help. I don't remember the address for it, though. noah PGP public key available at http://lynx.dac.neu.edu/home/httpd/n/nmeyerha/mail.html or by 'finger -l [EMAIL PROTECTED]' -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: 2.6.2 iQCVAwUBNWNAjIdCcpBjGWoFAQH1RQP+OE47J6b8vEm0o6VLtAeMLkku5B5m4zFR 3G9L8L86QUaKbJ2Co1eSP3j8NBlKIJerx3uU4z7Dr7fUUYNsRgTBPa7FwsyORUjX MGv5dI6gf9mQ0+2cVY18KjV1aX24ZqjNXJnKjY3EqhCgxxENZAFlTbFku8ZME+iD 9SOeu7PWNUc= =n8mv -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
