For the absolute last time -- there is nothing wrong with your suggestion. Please submit it to the bug system. Nobody thinks there is a problem with your suggestion. I do not think there is a problem with your suggestion, indeed I think it is a logical extension of dpkg. My only complaint is with how you ask for it. I do not know why you keep asking, over and over again. I have put far more energy in to this conversation than it deserves. I wish Manoj luck if he wants to continue it.
