I recently (about an hour ago) downloaded netscape 4.05 from netscape, ran the ns-install script, and it threw the files in /usr/local/netscape.. I run /usr/local/netscape/netscape & inside an xterm and i get: netscape: can't load library 'libXt.so.6' Now, I reran ldconfig, tried it again, got the same thing. So I ran ldconfig /usr/X11R6/lib and tried it again, same thing. So I checked /usr/X11R6/lib, and sure enough it's there. So I decide to do an: ldd /usr/local/netscape/netscape and it returns this: libXt.so.6 => not found libSM.so.6 => not found libICE.so.6 => not found libXmu.so.6 => not found libXpm.so.4 => not found libXext.so.6 => not found libX11.so.6 => not found libdl.so.1 => /lib/libdl.so.1 (0x4000a000) libc.so.5 => /lib/libc.so.5 (0x4000d000) libg++.so.27 => not found libstdc++.so.27 => not found libm.so.5 => /lib/libm.so.5 (0x400cb000) I have all those libs that ldd claims are "not found", but it still refuses to run. I am running the latest version of xfree that was on debian.org. I have checked the links and they all check out to the proper libs, but still get this. There is not one broken link.
