i was trying to mount a partition on my debian box but apparently i
screwed things up. now when i try to boot from the HD it stops after
telling me the cache size and clock speed. if i try to do it with my boot
disk, it works for a while, then alerts me to a kernel panic ("unable to
mount root fs on 03:05").

maybe what i need to do is issue some option(s) at the boot: prompt on the
rescue disk, but i don't know what the options are nor how to find them out.

anyone know how i can get anything working?
pleeeease? :)

aaron.
