Hi everybody. Is anyone using sSMTP's 'Root' option?
Its aim is to send mail to 'Root' (i.e. postmaster by default) instead of sending it to a user with a UID < 10 on your system. For Debian systems, that means that mail sent to root, daemon, bin, sys, sync, games, man, lp, mail and news will be sent to the same person, which is not a good idea to my mind. It means that you can't send an email to your root for instance. Therefore, does anyone see a good reason to do so? If it's not the case, I'm planning to remove this option.
