My guess is that your new machine has a hardware configuration that cannot be handled by a 2.0.33 kernel. You would have to build yourself a kernel from the 2.1.x series, but if you have never done this, it can be a bit difficult... > I have a ATAPI CDROM, a Soundcard, an Floppystreamer, a Modem > an an Interface for an Handscanner in the machine.
