Yes they do. Every time we add or remove memory modules we use one of these lines in lilo.conf and rune lilo, then reboot.
append="mem=128M" append="mem=256M" append="mem=384M" We have to have the append="mem=128M" in our standard PII 233 servers in order to make them use all of the memory and we see no problems with them. It seems as though we only have these problems when we have more than one module installed.
