Yes indeed it does.  Although some of the parameters have changed, there
aren't that many that are different.  This is the info I needed.

And to the kind soul who suggested that the kernel source package might 
already have the distribution kernel settings, I'm thinking you were right.
I didn't have to chage a lot to get the configuration approxamately the same
and that could be accounted for because the sample was from a much later
kernel.  The only rub is, it doesn't compile!  It claims the kernel is
too big to fit in boot block.  I probably have to build a compressed kernel
or some such.
