As the text in question expicitly states, that unauthorized access is
forbidden, I think they are safe ;)

(Soryy, couldn't resist. BTW: You can start evry program you want from the
configuration file /etc/X11/xdm/???. You can even start a root shell, but
this makes xdm pointless ;)
