to the people who are using the copy of the xlib6 package from caliban.lbl.gov. if you have any problems with it, please check to make sure that /usr/i486-linuxlibc1/lib/X11/locale and /usr/i486-linuxlibc1/lib/X11/app-defaults are linked to /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/locale/ and /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/app-defaults respectively. if not, please create the links by hand. i know of at least one person using that package who reported getting errors about "locale 'C' not supported". see if this will fix your problem. thank you.
